REAL CAUSE OF GLOBAL WARMING
I don’t claim to be the initiator of this theory that a local writer submitted to my local newspaper, but it is so logical that I don’t hesitate to bring it forward here. You definitely won’t find it on the Woke media. The writer states that what we need to acknowledge is that pollution, as well as climate change is mainly due to a world that is totally overpopulated and that each of us is responsible for the use of energy and the consumption of food to sustain life.
The world’s population has increased threefold from some 2.5 billion in 1950 to over 7.5 billion in 2020. This has resulted in a similar increase in pollution as well as climate change. The finger of blame should be pointed at the expanding population who need to consume products and not the products themselves. As far back as 1798 an English economist named Thomas Malthus stated, “The power of population is indefinitely greater than the power of the earth to produce subsistence for mankind.”
Throughout recorded history Europeans have maintained a fairly stable population that has basically increased in proportion to their ability to feed themselves, either through agriculture or by means of manufactured goods which they have exchanged for food from countries that had that production capacity. Over a thousand years ago the surplus population of what is now Northern Germany migrated to England where there was unoccupied land that they could settle alongside of the genetically similar existing population. That was not a military invasion as had been carried out by the Romans over two thousand years ago or the Norman French invasion in 1066, which is the last time England has been conquered. Most of the Romans departed when Rome itself was being invaded, and the Norman French King and military leaders decided to remain and rule the land they had conquered. They did not, however, bring large numbers of French settlers as there was no longer much spare land and most Frenchmen preferred the warmer climate of their homeland.
It is true that a substantial number of Europeans migrated to North America but they brought with them the marvelous European inventions and developments that enrichened the lives and longevity of the existing native inhabitants. Moreover the Europeans have not expanded their numbers beyond their ability to provide plentiful food supplies for themselves and the original indigenous populations, plus the other races who went there afterwards.
With the exception of the Japanese, the racially inferior Chinese and South Asians could not maintain a stable, constant population but bred like flies and continue to do so. Therein lies the out-of-control population growth that is threatening human existence.
