COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE

The population of China at over one billion is more than ten times that of the most populous European country. It therefore stands to reason that the collective intelligence of China should be more than ten times that of any European country. In other words, if China produced one genius for every European genius it seems logical that the number of Chinese geniuses should be more than ten times the number of European geniuses.

It didn’t work out this way, however. Could it be that the average intelligence of Chinese is less than half of the average intelligence of Europeans? Chinese technological advances are largely due to copying European (including North American) scientific, industrial, and medical developments, as often as not obtained through espionage or bribery of Europeans who have gained the knowledge through their employment. True enough China, due to  its huge population,  has surpassed Europe  in labour intensive activities such as the construction of roads, railroads, bridges, seaports, cargo container shipping, and cheap manufactured products. These latter achievements  are mainly the result of an almost unlimited and lowly paid workforce under a Communist system.
